BIOGRAPHY

After studying Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts I worked as an illustrator and then in magazine publishing in London as a graphic designer for 10 years, returning to painting after my children started school. I live in Berkshire with my husband and two sons, working from my studio as an oil painter.

My inspiration comes from my love of the countryside and coast having grown up in rural Dorset which I still regularly visit to gather new ideas.

Realistic in style, the scenes in my paintings are often kept simple to create a sense of calm. Including elements of detail and a strong focus on the colours within nature, I aim to create peaceful and atmospheric landscapes and seascapes that provide a sense of escapism for the viewer.
